???Retired???

As of October 15, 2019 we are BOTH retired??? For me, that means trying to paint more and volunteer at the Library and for a few other causes near and dear to me. Also, traveling to see grandchildren and to work through a loosely-organized bucket list. For my husband, that means trying to learn how to use a new camera with computerized lenses that are larger and more complex than any he's ever had - he hasn't learned enough in the past month to even take his first picture. He also wants to volunteer at the Raptor Center, but doesn't have time for the training yet. Why just trying? Why not enough time to finish learning how to take photos? The answer: WORK.

I'm still committed to an almost volunteer position at our Public Health Family Planning and Reproductive/Sexual Health Clinic. I also signed on to give flu shots for six weeks. I earn just enough to feel professionally validated. My husband is actually still working every Thursday and every third 4-day weekend. He's also filling in for a colleague at a conference and another injured colleague. Hence, neither of us has time to do the things we've always had trouble finding time to do.
